Gordon Ramsay visits Maranello factory of Ferrari
10th July 2012
When chef and restaurateur Gordon Ramsay is not busy giving lesser chefs a taste of hell time, garnering more Michelin stars, or maybe cashing some checks from his businesses, he is busy with his other passion – Ferrari automobiles.
The celebrity chef has been an owner of a Ferrari for quite some time now but had never had an opportunity to visit the home of Ferrari in Italy. Well, he got his connections and making it to Maranello is never an issue.
Ramsay was able to tour the whole deal from the Atelier shops, Tailor Made, and even had a chance to receive lessons behind the wheels an F12 Berlinetta on the circuit from Raffaele de Simone, the official test driver of Ferrari. Ah, we are pretty sure de Simone was very gentle with the chef.
Ramsay also got a taste of the cuisines offered at the il Podio, the company restaurant of Ferrari. The chef might have lowered his standards and declared the food delicious. We are pretty sure the kitchen staff was able to calm their trembling knees and rejoiced.
But seriously, Gordon Ramsay admires passion and the quest for pefection, and Ferrari has been known for these qualities since the start. The chef might have his reasons for all his rants and tirades but has certainly worked hard to earn all his success.
If Ferrari has been winning the thumbs-up of Gordon Ramsay, definitely they are doing it right.
Below is the video to show you what happened during his visit:
